Reversed and Remanded
After being retained as appellate counsel, Attorneys Ian Friedman and Eric Nemecek secured a new trial today in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas for a young business manager who had previously been convicted at a bench trial of vehicular assault. The client had previously been sentenced to five years in prison. They argued that the prior defense lawyers were ineffective at trial and that the prosecution improperly admitted prejudicial evidence. All three judges ruled that the case should be reversed and remanded. Mr. Friedman and his team will be serving as trial counsel at the next trial. The client is to be released from prison.
