A coalition of various federal agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Internal Revenue Service, without advance notice, raided a major international manufacturing company after a disgruntled employee made claims of fraudulent activity within the manufacturing process. Truckloads of material and digital evidence were collected and seized by the investigating agencies. The investigation was led by the United States Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of Ohio (USAO NDOH). The law firm was engaged to structure the most effective defense team from across the United States and oversee all legal representation until the conclusion of the matter. Friedman Nemecek Long & Grant represented the Chief Executive Officer on-site daily. After a massive investigation was conducted by the defense team, the defense position was presented to the white-collar division at the USAO NDOH and the agents-in-charge. Comprehensive expert testimony and evidence uncovered by the defense was provided. Thereafter, notice was provided by the federal government that the investigation was concluded and that there would be No Charges.
