Convictions Reversed
A licensed physician retained Friedman Nemecek Long & Grant, L.L.C. for appellate purposes after being convicted at trial of multiple counts of Rape. Attorney Eric Nemecek appealed the convictions, arguing, inter alia, that the convictions were not supported by credible evidence and that the trial court erroneously admitted testimony from the lead detective in the case. The 8th District Court of Appeals agreed, reversing the client’s convictions and remanding the case to the trial court for a new trial. The client will be released from prison pending a new trial and is in the process of getting his license reinstated through the Ohio State Medical Board.
